6 WAYS TRACO CREATES SAVINGS FOR YOU
See why Traco is your #1 plastics manufacturer for your end-use or OEM component supply chain products.
The Right Material for the Job
One of the first critical components to providing our customers with the perfect product to fit their needs is sourcing the ideal material. There are numerous forms of industrialized plastic on the market. Because of this, it is imperative that we, as plastic experts, know precisely what type of plastic to use depending on the uses of the product required.

Traco will help you to identify the perfect material for your next plastic manufacturing job.
With each project that comes into our facility, we take the time to find out exactly what our customer needs. For example, if you’re in the market for a new sign for your business, the type of plastic used will depend on where you’ll display the signage. Will it be displayed indoors, away from windows? If so, it would be unnecessary to have a UV component to it. A sign used outdoors, attached to a building, exposed to direct sunlight would undoubtedly need a UV protective component.
Cleaning and care can also be a factor in the selection of plastic material for your project. Will your product need to be sanitized? Will the product be exposed directly to harsh chemicals? We will select the perfect plastic for your product.
As you can see, the type of material used plays a significant role in our industry, providing our customers with long-lasting products ideally suited to their individual needs. We work closely with our customers to give them exactly what they need.
What is Nesting?

This diagram shows two different methods of nesting a job run on the same sheet size.
One of the most important ways to save our customers money is through a process known as nesting. Nesting serves a dual purpose. Firstly, the more parts obtained from a single sheet of plastic material mean that we purchase less plastic to produce the products. Less plastic purchased saves our customers money. Second, less plastic waste accumulated is better for our environment.
As you can see from the diagram below, the difference in plastic waste accumulated can be substantial depending on the size of the parts machined and where we cut from the sheet of material. We design each project to be cut using the nesting method to allow the optimum number of parts obtained from every sheet of plastic.
Because of our advanced techniques in this area, we save our customers money and help the environment at the same time. See our blog here on Traco’s green initiatives.
The Correct Amount of Material for the Job
Due to our use of nesting and our careful planning of projects, we accurately calculate the amount of plastic material required for a project.
